In the last of four sessions on the Anabaptist view of knowledge, Kyle talks about empowering a faith that will not shrink. Faith, says Kyle, is the window by which we experience the unseen--and school is part of the way we can grow in faith.

In the second of four sessions on Anabaptist teaching, Kyle extends the analogy of swords>plowshares/knowledge>wisdom by speaking of the specifics of classroom life. Kyle explores the question of who gets to define education, and encourages teachers to see choices as a fire that heats knowledge and makes it usable.

We've all heard that God has a plan for our lives. But how do we find it? Many people struggle to make sense of God's call. The struggle is an important one. Calling is a central part of what motivates us to effective, passionate service. Without a clear sense of calling, we're vulnerable to drift through life without exercising the gifts God has invested in us. This workshop explores how, and how not, to discern, pursue, and train for a lifestyle in the will of God.

The public persona of a leader is one thing; his personal and private habits of life are another. This workshop addresses the personal and private disciplines that contribute to successful leadership in the marketplace. Of particular interest are those life habits that result in sustainable leadership over the long haul.

Intentional living is a way of understanding and actuating the latent gifts God has given us. Living intentionally assumes that we have appropriate goals and that they are clearly defined. Arthur discusses the value of incremental growth and practical tools for time management.

We live in a world of much sin and sorrow. How should Christians respond? How can we engage with broken people in ways that are redemptive and life-giving? What can we learn from the life and ministry of Jesus?

Phil offers inspiration and insights from his experience at Camp Andrews. Catch and renew the vision of reaching children and youth, learn tips on more effectively reaching and managing them, be educated about the potential liabilities of working with children including some creative policies related to physical touch, and discover what more can and should be done in breaking the cycle of dysfunctional families by reaching this generation of young people.

Steven challenges teachers to spur student learning with three necessary elementd: facts communicated with pizazz, engagement in careful thinking, and opportunities for creative expression. If any part is missing, says Steven, learning is stunted.
