John and Keith dive head first into the crazy tale of Robert Durst and the many murders he’s connected to. Did he do it? Did he do any of it? The answers are possibly in Andrew Jarecki’s The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst. Plus, they present a few theories of there own. They also compare this crime docu-series to Netflix’s Making A Murderer.

We enter induct into The Documentary Show Hall of Fame a controversial documentary, Catfish. The film that made famous internet relationships gone wrong and spawned a TV show. Some people aren’t sure it’s real, but we have some thoughts on that.

Keith and John go along for the mystery-solving ride in John Foy’s Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles. But first they find out what a Toynbee Tile is. Then the take a look at Keith’s pick, Pete Schuermann’s The Creep Behind The Camera. It features the story of a terribly person that set out to make the best horror movie ever and failed miserably.

Keith and John do their own wine tasting and see how they would rank as Sommeliers. Meanwhile, they talk about Jason Wise’s Somm, which follows four candidates trying to become Master Sommeliers. Their second pick this week is Denny Tedesco’s The Wrecking Crew. It’s a chronicle of the most impressive session musicians you’ve heard all the time, but never heard of.

John and Keith change formats and focus on two documentaries. First up is a discussion of the history of Napster and digital music in Alex Winter’s Downloaded. Followed up by the discovery of an unknown but extremely talented photographer in John Maloof’s Finding Vivian Maier.

We revisit one of our favorite documentaries: Jesus Camp. A film about a children’s camp featuring lots of praying, preaching, crying and George W. Bush.
