In this episode we're taking a closer look at my top 3 recommendations for games to play with people who aren't part of your typical group. If you're looking to invite some new friends and get them hooked on our beloved hobby, these three will be superb choices to not only show them what the whole hobby is about but also show how vast, fun and worth exploring the hobby is. It's time to show that we can move beyond the Monopoly debacle or fun times with Scrabble dictionary.
With these 3 picks you'll be sure to get them hooked on and with all 3 choices catering to a very different type of players I'm sure you'll find something that will be a great fit for you and your friends!

This is the first episode in a new series called ‘The Journey of One’ in which I’ll cover solo role-playing games of all types, be it complex full-system RPG’s or be it smaller indie journaling games. This is all about the love for single player storytelling, role-playing and simply having a good time.
In the inaugural episode of the series, we’ll be looking at Alone Among the Stars by Takuma Okada. As explained by the author the game is a tabletop roleplaying game about exploring space and experiencing wondrous sights. To explore the vast universe all you need is a standard deck of 52 cards, a d6 die and something to write with and write on, be it a word document or a pen and paper.
Are you ready to learn more and explore new planets? Visit Alone Among the Stars on itch and download the copy of a game yourself: https://noroadhome.itch.io/alone-among-the-stars
For those of you who’ll go through the review there’s a special something. A mini audio-drama based on my very own adventures with the game. Listen and see what mysteries the vast dark universe has to offer!

The legendary drow ranger Drizzt Do’Urden is coming to life on your tabletop in this review of Legend of Drizzt by Wizards Of the Coast. Whether it is the adventurers lifestyle, the unexplored underdark or simply life of adventure for which the Dungeons & Dragons is well known for, the board game brings you 'a fraction' of the experience.
But does it mean the game is lacking? Does it mean it does not deserve a place on your shelf?
Hello fellow board gamers!
First of all massive apologies for sudden disappearance but certain work-related and life-related things had me sidetracked for a decent amount of time and with the current pandemic things are different for all of us.
The good news is! WE’RE BACK and today it’s an interesting episode as we are looking at a new entrant on the market Trapped – Escape Room Game Pack. With this really well-priced pack you can get a taste of puzzle-solving escape-room like fun without leaving your house :D What’s more to want!?
If you ever wanted to give it a go but didn’t want to break your bank or simply weren’t sure if it’s your thing before investing time and money into a real escape room this simple yet effective alternative will give you a test of the fun for a fraction of the price. I’ve had the pleasure of playing the hardest level difficulty one on my birthday and if you want to learn more on whether it was as fun as it sounds, listen to this episode and find out!
Thanks for listening and as always come back in 2 weeks time for the next episode as we’re back and coming strong!

Hello everyone :)
The game is a lovely mix of worker placement and very smart resource management which sets us up as young vampires hungry for Dracula's riches, but most importantly hungry for his tourist empire. Yes, you've heard me correctly, Dracula is not the monstrous beast (not only), but a smart tycoon who's established a tourist operations in his beloved Transylvania. It is up to us to win his favour by showering him with gifts and bribing him to allow use to change the favour we gained, into hard earned glory of victory points.
If you want to know more (and you absolutely should), listen to this episode and learn why your time and money are worth Dracula's attention!

Hello fellow gamers !
In the eight episode of our second season I’m having a closer look at a game which I believe very few people know but may be something worth your attention. I’m talking about City Tycoon from Rebel, your friendly Polish publisher (no association with the podcast whatsoever :D ).
Either way, I’ll be happy to be your companion for the twenty-odd minutes and I hope you’ll find it useful.

Hello everyone :)
In Godfather you'll become a head of one of the families from the Godfather trying to work for the Don by establishing control in key areas, shaking down businesses and completing tasks that need to be done for the good of the family. Be it a drive by, bribery, extortion, it's all here and it has never been more fun.
