The Doodle Apocolypse

Are you sick of your Conservative neighbour condescendingly telling you how immigration is bankrupting us while turning a blind eye to the cost of this referendum?  Getting ready for thanksgiving and that one uncle who actually thinks seperating from the rest of Canada will magically make all his economic problems disappear, (when betting his mortgage on the Oilers every month might have a little more to do with it) and want to have some numbers to throw back over potatoes and pumpkin pie.  You're In Luck!

I'm going to step away from a question by question analysis of the referendum in favour of geting into some of the topics that should be pissing us all off.  And to start with I am going to talk about the costs.  The cost of the referendum, the actual costs of asylum immigration and the potential cost of Alberta Seperation.

In this episode we are discussing who Dani and the UCP are actually trying to satisfy with these questions and who they are fighting against.  Do you have a friend, neighbour, coworker or mouthy relative who is sure that the province is being crushed under a wave of refugees? We'll here we'll  talk about how small the number actually is and how not only is Alberta not taking on an unfair portion of the responsibility, we are lagging well behind other Canadian provinces.  So tune, get mad, but most importantly, get informed.

Whether you are undecided about your answer, still needing to prep yourself for discussion with friends and neighbours or your a UCP party member looking to hate listen to Lefty, all are welcome.  We'll talk about the history of the Province, demystify the concept of the Constitutional division of powers and start Cracking a little bit into actual stats around immigration in this provice.  Most importantly we'll talk about why Danielle Smith and her team of bootlickers, sorry, her caucus, want to ask this question right now.

Spoiler: I think its potentially for the worst possible reason, butnot to worry, I don't actually think this government is competent enough to pull it off.
