This is Ms B’s first year at Dormick Park and before coming here she worked at Terry Fox, Chief Dan George, Eugene Reimer, Mouat and worked as an educational behaviour interventionist at Pivot Point.

On Today’s episode we bring you a great conversation of one of Abbotsford School District’s trustees, Mr. Stan Petersen, joining us live in the classroom to tell us about the role of a school board trustee. Mr. Petersen is a former teacher and principal in the Abbotsford District. Mr. Petersen has served on the Abbotsford school board for over 10 years. He has also been a board member of the Abbotsford Youth Commission, Vice President of the 2016 BC Summer games, director of the Kiwanis club and has served as a coach and promoter of BC High School wrestling, basketball, special Olympics and has had regular trips to Haiti to provide school supplies and teacher training.

Our Library Learning Commons Teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Manchanda is back on our show to chat about what our Library Learning Commons looks like at Dormick Park. This is a newer program that runs in our Abby Schools and Mrs. Manchanda discusses some of her activities with students and how it may look different throughout other districts.

On today's episode, we feature our Learning Services Teacher Mrs. Andrea Hoeving and our Educational Assistant, Ms Helen Wong who share with us the role of an intervener. Ms Wong works with a deaf and blind student and we get an insight into a day in the life of our student at Dormick Park.
