For as long as we can remember, women in wrestling were only viewed as eye candy, valets and any time they wrestled, it was a bathroom break. Over the years, there were several women who wanted to break the mold and made us wonder if women could really hang. Women such as Trish Stratus, Lita, Jacqueline, Gail Kim, AJ Lee, Beth Phoenix and Natalya. But they could not do it alone. They needed the help and support from the back. In came Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. They put women in the forefront of NXT. They wanted to change the narrative. And from that, we got Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Asuka. Five of the best performers the women's division has ever seen. They wanted to push themselves, they wanted to push the game and wanted to push for women to be on equal footing. And for the last 5 years, they have done unthinkable things and opened doors for other women who never would have gotten a chance to do the things they did. Had it not been for the 4 Horse women or Asuka or Ronda Rousey, Tessa Blanchard does not become Impact World Champion.
So in this episode, we discuss the best WWE Women's matches of the last 10 years. The ones that broke the barriers, the ones which evolved the game to where we know it now. And Wrestling with Respect is here to help us out. Welcome......to TDT's Classics Series "Respect the Evolution".
