You hear about these moments ALL THE TIME. But when you’re faced with these hardest moments on a personal level, it’s a whole different story. Today I’m in trouble. Why? Because the taxman has coming knocking at my door. And I ain’t got the goods...

It’s been a rough week and an even rougher 24hrs! We spent the night in A&E with our daughter as she was sick all night, which as you can imagine was a bag of fun. Despite operating on 3hrs of sleep in 48hrs I jumped on a call with Riley McGhee, King of the Ops of The Unconventionalists and decided to record it. Oh, and he had no idea I was doing this btw, so what happened next was gold.

It’s 2019 people! Let’s act like it. It’s been a while since I jumped in here and in today’s episode I share with you why. I also go a little deep and share something that happened today and threw me off. Turns out, our emotional reaction to a current event can be pegged to a past event that needs to resurface for you to finally come to grips with it. Enter the fear of being a copy cat.

It’s one of those days where I spent 10 hours straight without going outside being on back to back calls with clients, peers and coaches to get ready for 2019.

They say you shouldn’t eat donuts. You know, because they’re bad for you. But sometimes, just sometimes, you just feel like eating the whole freakin’ box. Today is one of those days. And yes, Christmas season is upon us!

It’s hard enough as it is to try and start a business. But add to that the complexity of raising a young family when your partner is feeling under the weather, then you really start feeling the pressure. Oh, and the fact that you have to keep making those sales calls, that matters too...

It’s easy to make up excuses when we feel sorry or when we messed up. And yet as I learned from today’s events, saying sorry can be the most powerful thing you can say.
