  • The Douglas Coleman Show w_ Kevin James Barry and James Edward Webb
"GRIDLOCKED: On Tour With The Briggs", a new rockumentary feature film on iconic punk band The Briggs, releases this February.
From writer-director Kevin James Barry ("Among Them", "Serena and the RATTS"), the pic

"GRIDLOCKED" follows the Los Angeles-based punk rock band through their ten day tour of the west coast with personal interviews with the band's frontman, Joey LaRocca. From Joey's engaging perspective, the film explores the sometimes harsh and other-times intensely rewarding lifestyle of musical artists. Joey must navigate a musical career that fell short of his youthful expectations as it collided with the realities of maturing and gaining family responsibilities. The story culminates, in what may be the final tour with the band that he loves, with the realization and acceptance that life doesn't always play out as planned.

''GRIDLOCKED : On Tour With The Briggs'' releases On Demand February 15 from Gravitas Ventures.

James Edward Webb was born in 1981 and grew up on ranches around the western United States. With his fathers employment as a cowboy, James developed a lifelong fascination with the Old West. The charm of the rugged sophistication in the lives of those who lived in the westward expansion, was driven further with several experiences. Aside from growing up on the ranches where his father found employment, he had a chance to explore some of the remnants of that history.

When James was 19 he joined the Army. In 2001 he married his wife, Tera, 2003 was deployed to Iraq, and in 2007, after his separation from the military, they moved to Michigan where they have been raising their three children. He attended college and received a degree in art. He finds that writing is good therapy for his PTSD. In Tom’s Revenge he uses his love for the Old West to bring a deeper understanding of this disorder by expressing what he, as a veteran, deals with internally and externally.

Other therapies that he uses are art and cooking with his wife, creating and trying new foods. From cover to cover Tom’s Revenge is his first published work including the cover art.

  • The Douglas Coleman Show w_ Jacob Hunt
Jacob Hunt, also known as, "otherpoet" is a poet based in Brooklyn, NY. otherpoet's poetry seeks to break the boundaries of poetry and provide a place for every person to exist and breathe. He hopes that when you read his work, you feel a little less alone. Shift was published December 13, 2021.

"That's always been my favorite kind of art: the kind which lends itself to exploration. The Rocketman's experience, printed like space matter floating in the negative white of these pages, is something like an invitation, and I was surprised - on many an occasion - to find myself inside his suit." - Levi the Poet on shift

Welcome to shift, by otherpoet. a book for the lost, the broken, the unknown, the outcast, the dreamer, and the doubter. at its core, shift is about a person's healing journey. and that is the most beautiful thing about this story: anyone can find themselves in it. we have all been hurt, we've all had to heal, and none of us have any idea what we're doing. no matter where you are in your story, the highest peaks or the lowest valleys, you can be at home in the pages of shift.

Shift is a unique collection of poems told like an epic. each poem lends itself to the others, and though perspectives shift throughout the book, the pages tell a connecting story.

The poems of shift are not titled, each poem floats to its own rhythm on a single page resulting in a flowing, congruent story. otherpoet hopes that you will find your own meaning in each poem, your own cadence, and your own pace.

Shift was illustrated by the incredible artist Jericó Delayah. the book is full of vibrant, impactful illustrations, bringing shift to life.

As each poem and illustration takes up a full page, shift was converted into an 8x10 book in order to showcase the work. the matte finish of the covers make shift the perfect coffee table book for you to explore.

The last page of shift reads, "you are loved," and that is the most important message. in the end, the story is just that, a story. but it is one full of truths, simple and complex, so it is only fitting that it concludes with one of the most important truths of all: you are loved.

  • The Douglas Coleman Show w_ Mark Leslie and Rich Davis
Mark Leslie Lefebvre has a lot in common with Michael Andrews, the main character of his latest novel, Fright Nights, Big City. And Andrews has a lot in common with Peter Parker, the alter-ego of Spider-Man.

Lefebvre, who writes under the name Mark Leslie, grew up in a small town with a population of approximately 2,000 people. To him, a “big city,” even with its 1980s era population was a little over 90,000. Michael Andrews, the hero of his Canadian Werewolf series that started with the 2016 release of A Canadian Werewolf in New York, also grew up in a small Ontario town, but found himself re-located to a much larger city.

The series, which the author describes as humorous thrillers, follows the adventures of a man cursed with lycanthropy. On the nights of a full moon, he turns into a grey wolf with no human consciousness or memory of his time roaming about on all fours. And, when in human form, he possesses additional senses and supernatural strength that he uses to help others.
