We received emails from youth workers who've been experiencing the ups & downs of youth ministry. Seems like "ups & downs" is a fairly accurate description of life in youth ministry… and the weight of the boys on this podcast!
Matt missed again, but Josh picked up the 'funny' right where McGill left off by making up new terms like "youth-anization." We also had a really great discussion on legacy, platform, & humility (because Matt wasn't there)!
Its difficult to have a "great" show without the queen--Katie Edwards. But the guys did have a "good" show with many of your YM questions. As always, some fun dialogue on some tough topics & some potential McGill edits!
Since McGill had to miss the podcast, YMG executive producer Seth Bartlette jumped in as his substitute. We're pretty certain he drank way too much caffeine beforehand as he seemed a little too eager to answer the questions.
Mark Matlock, president of Youth Specialties, drops by the garage to be our special guest. While he contributed youth ministry wisdom, he also dazzled the YMG crew with some impromptu magic. Don't miss it!
You've come to expect several things from the YMG: Doug's wisdom, Josh's agreement with Doug, wisdom from Katie, and then Matt… who is solely responsible for not 1… not 2… but 3 edits on today's show. Yikes!
This episode of the YMG was brought to you by the phrases, "Sharp as a Pistol-Whip," "Let Me Summarize" & "More Cowbell, Please!" Tune-in & see how those 3 random statements were incorporated into our conversation.
Many listeners sent questions starting with, "Matt… sorry you got canned!" Its good to know our community knows Matt's love language: sarcasm. But, beyond the humor, there's a lot of good YM discussion waiting for you.
