The Dozen with Liam Tuffs

There were many similarities in the lives of Michael Jackson and his long term friend and bodyguard, Matt Fiddes.

Both hugely driven and successful, both at the top of their chosen careers, both subjected to violence by their fathers, struggled with depression and addiction to prescription drugs, became distant from their families...

With so much common ground, it's no wonder they formed a lasting friendship, but there's more to Matt Fiddes than Michael Jackson.

To many he is a national hero - a symbol of courage and hope in the stand against unfettered immigration into the UK, and against the rise of extremism that threaten our way of life.

To the mainstream media, who now highlight the very problems that he was first to expose, yet branded him far right back then for doing so, he is a thorn in the side.

Tommy Robinson.

They partied together. Lived together. Their friendship spanned more than three decades.

Brendan McGirr recounts what life was like being Dave Courtney's best friend, from the day they met, to the day he left.

Did his detached and antisocial behaviour lead to his parents' disdain for him, or was his conduct a product of it?

Either way, his formative years were replete with episodes of extreme violence, and were underscored by heavy substance abuse issues, culminating in several terms behind bars.

During his final spell in prison, Lewis Raymond Taylor had what can only be described as an epiphany, and quickly turned his life around to become a multi millionaire, and CEO.

Appearances can be deceptive. On the face of it you'd think her life has been an easy ride - privileged upbringing as the daughter of a doctor, blessed with beauty, a yoga instructor...

But life has been far from an easy ride for Abi Mills. Ignored as a child, subjected to sexual abuse by a family member from an extremely young age, substance problems, horrendous online trolling after her unfair representation on First Dates, beset by low self esteem and anxiety...

He started weight training at 15 years old, and by 21 was competing, and then doing the doors, becoming close friends with, and sparring with Lenny McLean, and later went on to own his own bars and clubs.

5 years ago he challenged John Fury to a charity fight after John's proclamation that he was tougher than any 54 year old man on the planet.

Now 60, with a lifetime of training under his belt, and in better shape than most 20 year olds, Micky Theo reissues that challenge one last time (in words that aren't minced!) in the hope that John Fury will finally answer the call.

In the summer of 1990 Tony Alliss was shot and killed on his land, in a case that was supposedly self-defence, despite an unlicensed shotgun being used on an unarmed man.

20 minutes later Leigh Alliss, Tony's son, was shot in what the defendants claimed was an accidental discharge, even though the shotgun in question was still warm from his father's killing, would need to have been reloaded, and the position of the gun would have made hitting Leigh all but impossible.

Regardless of such glaring discrepancies, the case was overturned, and a subsequent civil trial ended the same way, with the details of the crime never being put in front of a jury.

Leigh tells the story of that fateful day, where his life went from there, and his continued efforts to seek justice for what he believes is a cover up.

He also played his father in a short film about the shooting called Cowardice - A True Story, which is available to watch on YouTube. Link below.
