  • EP 11 - Anti-Cancer Lifestyle, Longevity & Healthy Skincare
Alana Stewart, known for her library of work in film and television, as well as a respected author, joins Dr. Bond to discuss her work with the Farrah Fawcett Foundation and how she has maintained a healthy lifestyle, inside and out.Alana Stewart, known for her library of work in film and television, as well as a respected author, joins Dr. Bond to discuss her work with the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, how she has learned to live an anti-cancer lifestyle in part because of her dear friend, and the Foundation's investment in spreading the word about anal and HPV-related cancers. Alana also shares how she has maintained her healthy lifestyle -- both inside and out -- and as Dr. Bond puts it, "beats Father Time." A few tips from Alana: Reduce stress Eat organic when possible Avoid food additives and preservatives Limit meat (or choose organic, grass-fed, etc.) Avoid EMFs (e.g. microwaves) and BPA from plastics About the Farrah Fawcett Foundation After being diagnosed with cancer in 2006, Farrah Fawcett started the Farrah Fawcett Foundation in 2007. She was committed to finding a cure for her cancer and to personally over see her foundation. Unfortunately, events took a different turn and after seeking various treatments including alternative choices, she passed away on June 25, 2009. Farrah wanted to help further cutting edge research and was particularly interested in alternative practices. She often wondered why there was not more research done with this type of cancer and hoped to be able to contribute to this less known area of the disease. Farrah cared deeply about those less fortunate than she; those struggling with financial hardships as a result of their diagnosis. Buy on Amazon Rearview Mirror - A Memoir

  • EP 9 - The "I-Factor"
One question lies behind every struggle we face: how do I deal with myself? One question lies behind every struggle we face: how do I deal with myself? Behind all our stumbles, behind each of our missteps, behind every one of our failings lies an inability to handle what Van Moody calls the “I-Factor.” More than self-worth or self-respect, beyond even character and perception of purpose, the I-Factor is about managing yourself—your whole life—well. In his inspiring new book by the same name, Moody reveals how to get hold of your I-Factor. Moody identifies three dynamics essential to winning the battle of the I-Factor: identity, significance, and perspective. When you understand your identity you know who you are, setting your foundation for everything. When you understand your significance, you see the purpose and the greatness you were created for. And, when you understand perspective, you can view the problems you face as stepping-stones to greatness rather than stumbling blocks. Properly understand these three dynamics, and you will be able to master your I-Factor. Weaving together personal stories, practical principles, and profound biblical truth, The I-Factor provides the key to achieving the life of greatness that you are destined for. Listen as Van joins Dr. Bond to discuss the concept of the I-Factor. Buy on Amazon The I Factor: How Building a Great Relationship with Yourself Is the Key to a Happy, Successful Life
