Last week, the battle for Friestadt commenced, and the Frieslanders fought bravely against the Dragon's army. When the First Hexes manifested as a real dragon, only Petla's sacrifice prevented it from entering the city. Brida volunteered to sacrifice herself--to destroy the dragon, with the willpower of Frieslanders within her.

Last week, Brida visited Maren in the infirmary, then sent Michael one last message. She stumbled upon the person guilty of making the dragon marks, and was lucky to get away unharmed, though her new cloak was destroyed. Meanwhile, Michael left Heiden with the Dragon's army, but not before he destroyed the mark on Albrecht's cornerstone.

Last week, Michael and Brida exchanged more messages by pigeon post. In Heiden, Michael readied the Dragon's army for the assault on Friestadt and the arrival of the First Hexes.
