The prosperity of the modern world allowed parents to push some of their incompetence and inadequacy under the rug until fate forced them to face it. Society is raising incompetent young people, unable to manage their emotions, their life, and themselves. And once they reach a certain age, although financially credible or not, the idea of settling down and having their own family entices these adult babies. This may be one of the most common causes of fallout in relationships and rising divorce rates everywhere. People are too sensitive to the inadequacy of the other person but too blind to their own shortcomings.
