The Drifter
A standalone novel
To the outside world, Kray Brooks had it all growing up.
Wealth. The devoting parents.
The beautiful girlfriend.
Good grades.
All of it a lie, except her. The woman he left behind 13 years ago to try and achieve his real dream: to become a musician.
Life doesn't always go according to the plan you set out for yourself.
Sometimes, you drift. Become lost, lose hope, and crash.
For 13 years he's been drifting wherever his guitar takes him, avoiding his past. Never thinking of his future.
Not once did he think it would all catch up to him. Until it did.

5 Stars Read for Me.....
This story has a feel to it that makes it unforgettable to the reader. At least to me. The hero is down and out, and it will take the heroine to save him. Unlike the gazillions of novels with uber rich hero's, and they are the ones saving the heroines with money or what have you. I don't want to give too much away, but it has the feels of three unforgettable books I have read.
'One Day Soon' by Meredith A. Walters, 'Less Than Nothing' series by R.E. Blake and 'Grayson' by Lisa Eugene. Grayson not so much but it took the dedication and sheer grit on the part of the heroine to save this guy.
Now, am not talking about techniques and what have you (the introspection on the part of Rori and Kray became cumbersome), but the story gripped me by the throat and never lets up. In fact I had to also buy the audio so I don't put it down at all. Surreal....
I was so happy I bought this book in audible.
Definitely a great listen. Both narrators were awesome. Kray and Rory didn't stand a chance at happiness when they were younger. Kray's father definitely made sure of that. His father was such a despicable man and his mother was not any better allowing the abuse to go on. Years later they are reunited and let's face it love is love. Great ending and an awesome read.
Very dramatic
I did enjoy this audiobook. The writer's style was sometimes overly dramatic and I didn't like the female narrator's voice. The premise of the story was entertaining.
