What if your idea doesn't have to change the world to be worth pursuing?
After months of unemployment, I started seriously thinking about entrepreneurship. But almost immediately, the questions began. What kind of business should I start? Does my idea need to be revolutionary? How do I know if it's actually a good idea?
Then I started looking at a problem I've personally experienced for years: shopping for clothes as a plus-size woman. And somewhere between frustration, curiosity and a whole lot of questions, I found an idea worth exploring.
I don't have the answers yet. I don't even know if this will work.
But I'm starting anyway.
Here's to building an extraordinary life, one conversation at a time.
What happens when you're so used to figuring everything out yourself that you forget how to let people help you?
In this episode, I talk about what happened after putting Episode 1 out into the world, the unexpected lessons I took from it, and the realization that sometimes hitting a wall is exactly what you need to see things differently.Maybe this is what a second chance looks like.
Two years ago, I walked away from this microphone because I stopped believing that my voice mattered.
I convinced myself that I wasn't good enough, and the shame that followed kept me silent for far longer than I would like to admit.
But somewhere along the way, the people who love me reminded me of something I had forgotten: sometimes we don't need a new dream; we simply need the courage to return to the one we left behind.
So, after much encouragement from friends and family, I am taking this second chance and finding my way back.
This episode is more than an introduction. It is a promise to myself that I will no longer allow fear, self-doubt, or perfectionism to keep me from speaking.
