Owner of Shear Passion Salon and Founder of Manifesting Miracles LLC
Natasha Ickes-Saman is a salon owner, 2x best selling and award winning author and TEDx speaker. She has been featured in multiple publications from MunaLuchi Bridal to the LA Tribune and Hudson Weekly. She was the 2019 recipient of a Certificate of Recognition from the California Senate. Natasha’s path took her from a troubled childhood, addiction and two attempts to take her own life to finding her strength, breaking through insurmountable obstacles, and becoming the person she always wanted to be - a successful salon owner, mother and loving wife. Outside of the salon and coaching she regularly provides free haircuts in homeless shelters throughout the Bay Area. Her passion is to empower others and make the world a better place for everyone.
Why The Way We Have Been Thinking About Motivation is All Wrong
There is a lot of focus on the importance of being motivated to reach your goals. Countless blogs, articles and experts share how to be ready, excited and motivated to go after your dreams. These are important conversations. However, I believe there is a piece of this conversation which has been frequently ignored. Motivation is not about a feeling, it is about the choice to take action consistently until you achieve your goals.
How can you make your dreams a reality? How can you change your habits? How can you achieve everything you desire? This talk will share how to be consistently motivated to transform your life.
I went from homeless, addicted and depressed at 17 to a salon owner making 6 figures by my early 20s. I am a TEDx speaker, life coach and award-winning author. I will share the tools which not only helped me turn my life around but will help you do the same.

BREAKING FREE FROM BIAS
We may believe we are nonjudgmental and we “don’t see color” (or allow our interactions with and decisions about others to be influenced by our bias about their gender, age, etc.) Is that really possible? Unconscious bias neuroscience research says no, that is not how our brains work. Even those of us who are used to working multiculturally! (Humility is very important on this journey.) From the Glass Ceiling, generational gaps and lingering cultural fears or resentment, we benefit from recognizing and managing our unconscious bias. Join Marilyn O’Hearne, MSW, Master Certified Coach, author of Breaking Free from Bias: Preventing Costly Complaints and Talent Loss, as she shares her six IMPACT steps designed to move us from bias and judgement, which can sabotage our success, to increased impact and influence.
