    Matt Brennan is an author, musician, and researcher. His creative practice as a musician informs his teaching and research process, which also draws from historical, sociological, business, and ethical approaches to understanding music in society.
    He has served as Chair of the UK and Ireland branch of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM), and held a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship and Chancellor’s Fellowship at the University of Edinburgh prior to taking up his current post as Reader in Popular Music. At the University of Glasgow he is Director of the Interdisciplinary Music Industries Research Group (IMIRGe) and Convenor of the MSc Music Industries degree.
    Matt has authored, co-authored, and edited several books in the field of popular music studies. His latest book, Kick It: A Social History of the Drum Kit (Oxford University Press 2020), establishes the drum kit's central role in shaping the history of music over the last 150 years.
    His previous monograph, When Genres Collide (Bloomsbury 2017), earned numerous accolades (named as one of Pitchfork’s “Favourite Music Books of 2017”; Honourable Mention at the Association of American Publishers’ 2018 PROSE Awards; winner of the 2019 IASPM Canada Book Prize). He has also co-authored The History of Live Music in Britain Volume 1: 1950-1967 (Ashgate 2013), The History of Live Music in Britain Volume 2: 1968-1984 (Routledge 2019), and co-edited The Routledge Research Companion to Popular Music Education (Routledge 2017). Together with Simon Frith, he is editor of the Bloomsbury book series Alternate Takes - Critical Responses to Popular Music.

    Marco Minneman is a drumming legend. From starting as a 19 year old Pro in Munich, he has performed at drum festivals all over the world, from PASIC, Modern Drummer Festival, Frankfurt Music Fair and more. He has performed with artists such as Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani and Tony Levin. He is also part of the righteous Fusion trio The Aristocrats with guitar legend Guthrie Govan and bassist Bryan Beller.

    Dan Hayward and James Gorman are the Drums/Percussion team on the U.K. tour of On Your Feet - The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estafan. Both have played together on a few shows in the past - namely Evita and West Side Story. It was a unique chance to chat to a dup and hear how they interact as a team.

    Dan has played on a variety of show from Drifters, Avenue Q, Evita, Saturday Night Fever, Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat, West WSide Story and On Your Feet! He is a Liberty Drums Artist and Vater Sticks Artist.

    James has played on numerous shows including: Honk!, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of Music, West Side Story, The Wizard of Oz, On your Feet as well as numerous Pantomines. He is also the drums and percussion tutor at Northampton School for boys and proud to be a Dream Cymbals artist

A Glasgow based drummer who has also been a massive fixture in the DIY scene in Glasgow playing with bands such as Take A Worm For A Walk Week, Bdy_Prts and The Twilight Sad. He is also a founding member of the band Olympic Swimmers and a producer, having worked with Helen Marnie and Ladytron.
