"Dune - Part 1" directed by Denis Villeneuve is an epic science fiction film based on the novel of the same name by Frank Herbert. Set in a distant future where noble houses control planets and a valuable resource called "spice" is mined on the desert planet Arrakis, the story follows Paul Atreides, the young heir of House Atreides, as his family assumes control of Arrakis. As Paul learns about the political intrigue surrounding Arrakis and the indigenous people known as the Fremen, he discovers his own destiny tied to the planet's fate. The film explores themes of power, destiny, and ecology while showcasing stunning visuals and intense action sequences.

Originally published in serial format - Dune: Messiah is the second novel in Frank Herbert's "Dune" series, and it continues the complex narrative set in the expansive and intricate universe of Arrakis.
