This is done by challenging norms and thinking outside the box. This week we do that. I bring on my partner Rosalie to talk about her journey from doing what society expected her to do, to completely reevaluating and then flipping her beliefs and practices. Her basis is to live more inline and more naturally with her body. This has meant she has gone vegan, started using a menstrual cup, uses a natural birth control method, stopped shaving and wearing make-up. In this episode we talk about that and specifically we challenge the stigma around periods and why you should consider a using a cup. We take a deep dive into using the pill for birth control and why Rosalie now uses a natural form of birth control. Rosalie offer her experience and I back it up with science. This week I sit down with my recent but good friend Jaden. Since he was 11 years old, Jaden has lived and breathed BMXing. With the combination of being a fearless daredevil and his love for the sport he was bound to excel, and before he knew it at 18, he was given the opportunity of a life time - to ride pro for Red Bull. Living the pro dream of riding, travel, money and alcohol he gained incredible experiences. It’s at this time though that he received a wake up call that took him on a journey to find and live his authentic self. For him this meant riding without Red Bull. Still young, Jaden was blessed with an incredible lesson that taught him what's important in life and opened up infinite opportunities for growth. He has a way with expressing words and speaking his truth that will speak to your inner self. So enjoy. Peace, love and light brother.

This week’s guest is a special one - this conversation is about a life story, an insight, a look into the journey the life of a typical human being. What makes him interesting is he has his own unique story to tell spanning over 64 years and several countries, eras and experiences. He’s also my dad. Unbeknownst to him his story is an eventful, exciting whirlwind of life in Africa, the hippie era, Rock’n’roll, drugs, near escapes, multiple countries, spiritual experiences, and endless stories, which in his words make him feel lucky to be alive. What did he learn from this? Well one thing, no matter what situation you face, no matter how bad things can get, it will always work itself out in the end. But one other thing, after an exciting life of living on the edge he found himself overweight, facing a dangerously high cholesterol, pre-diabetic, bowel issues and wondering where is health went. Well when his doctor prescribed him some drugs and told him to cut back on the sweets he thought there has to be a better way. And slowly but surely he found it, nudged along by yours truly he found himself shifting to a plant-based diet. 18 months later his cholesterol is that of a young man, diabetes is a speck in the rear mirror, he’s dropped 9kg and he’s found a new passion out on the bike every weekend and practices yoga every week. So you’re typical human being? I think not. Come along for the ride in experiencing the life of Colin. I think this conversation has to potential to influence all ages and walks of life. So get comfortable whatever you are doing, plugin and come along and see what you learn. Enjoy.
