We're approximately a quarter of the way through the fantasy regular season, and we're handing out awards for the early stretch of the 2019 campaign. And yes, the quarter pole in horse racing is a quarter mile from the end of the race, but in dynasty fantasy football, we've decided that it's a quarter of the way into the year. Join Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis (@TsarWillis) for some creative awards doled out to a variety of noteworthy performers (some good, some not).
It's easy to dismiss the "small sample size" element after 2 weeks of NFL action, but those small sample sizes will become big ones soon enough. The key is to be on the front end of the right moves. Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis (@TsarWillis) break down the latest action and what it could mean for dynasty owners moving forward.
Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis (@TsarWillis) break down takeaways and concerns from week 1 NFL action. It is noteworthy that this podcast was recorded an hour before the Antonio Brown allegations broke as news, so it is naturally not factored into the discussion.
Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis (@TsarWillis) are back to wrap up the pre-season with a discussion about which players will emerge as fantasy football Brussel Sprouts (good for you, though you'll never get excited about 'em) and fantasy football Circus Peanuts (seem tempting, but will make you feel gross immediately). Plus, breakdowns on crazy Texan trading, cut day, McCoy/Hyde impacts, and some extra "Real or Rubbish" storylines we couldn't get to last week. Happy football season!!
Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis (@TsarWillis) are back at it, discussing the fallout from Andrew Luck's retirement, the potential royalty status of Duke Johnson, and the impact of Josh Gordon's reinstatement. Once the news and notes are covered, it's on to "Real or Rubbish" related to various fantasy football narratives making their way around the FF landscape.
In between vacations, Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis (@TsarWillis) connect for a quick chat about recent news and notes and some fantasy football chess moves they like heading into a new season.
Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) checks in to preview his Fantasy Football Yelp project, wherein he will be utilizing multiple fantasy football resources throughout the season, then reviewing those resources in the off-season to let listeners know how valuable he found each resource and whether he'll be re-investing his money in them again next year.
Resources involved in this year's study include WhatsOnDraftNFL.com, Devy Watch, DLF, Dynasty Nerds, Fantasy Pros, RotoPass (RotoViz, Football Guys, RosterWatch), 4For4, Player Profiler, Pro Football Focus, Dynasty Football Factory, Warren Sharp's season preview book, Bob Lung's Consistency Guide, and Joe Pisapia's Black Book.
Since the study had to get cut off somewhere, other resources had to be tabled and will be considered for the 2020 season, making the vision for this study a two-year project overall.
Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis (@TsarWillis) wrap up their "Crushes & Breakups" series by hitting on each team in the NFC East and AFC East.
Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis discuss their fantasy crushes and fantasy breakups for each team in the AFC South and NFC South.
Brian Shacochis (@DynastyTools) and Jim Willis break down their fantasy crushes and breakups for each team in the AFC North and NFC North.
