Place your hands in your lap and close your eyes.
Relax your face.
Allow your shoulders to feel heavy.
Turn your attention to your breath, noticing the physical sensations that we so often ignore caused by this basic and mysterious function of our body.
On your next in breath notice the sensation of air passing along your throat on its way down to your lungs. Does it feel cool? Or even tickle a little?
Feel your belly as it moves in and out with each breath.
Feel the air as it passes your lips or nostrils on the in breath and its warmth on the way out.
Keep your attention on your breath, continuing to notice the sensations caused by this fundamental act of life.
Now turn your attention to the black space in the vision of your closed eyes, the god space. Allow your curiosity to explore this space.
Look around in the darkness, noticing color or shape as you may happen upon them.
What do you find in the darkness?
Is it as you had expected? Or is it more expansive than you had thought?
How did your body respond? Did you feel curiosity... or even some anxiety?
Ask yourself. “What if I am safe?”
“What if I am safe?”
“What if I am safe?”
Gently allow your attention to come back to the room, back to chair that you are sitting in, back to this moment.
And when you’re ready, you can open your eyes
