President Biden has sent his immigration bill to Congress, and it is called the Citizenship Act of 2021.
If it does pass from a comprehensive standpoint, there will be major reform to the whole U.S. immigration system.
we're probably going to see some permanent implications of the EB-5 visa program. So there's numerous advantages that the EB-5 investors may have based on the Citizenship Act of 2021, but it's not specific. So what I mean by that is the EB-5 immigrant investor program, it won't be actually directly affected by the US Citizenship Act of twenty twenty one, but there will be indirect type of repercussions that will benefit EB-5 investors and that way EB five investors will still benefit from the provisions that are outlined in that in that bill.
There are provisions in the new bill kind of proposed by Biden and that will be taken into consideration by Congress that will favor the EB-5 investment arena and that whole program will be affected in a positive way because what the new bill will do with Will, it will shorten wait times. It will also make sure that it recaptures unused visas. It's going to clear up employment based visa backlogs and it's going to basically dispense with country based visa caps and basically eliminate eliminate the inclusion of spouse and dependents in the visa quota.
