Hello, hello, welcome to A Trip Talks, you are inside the immigration zone.
This is your host, United States immigration attorney Hardam Tripathi, reaching you from Tampa, Florida.
Today we're going to be discussing what has been going on in the past week with respect to policy updates on Capitol Hill. Today is June 20th, 2021. And we will be discussing what has been going on this past week with respect to immigration reform and immigration policy and the immigration bill.
And so, ladies and gentlemen, let's get started. So we were basically discussing what's been going on this past week, the third week of June here with respect to immigration policy on the Hill. And there's been a lot of uptick in kind of the work that's been actually going on on the Hill. Originally, things were pretty steady. We didn't see too much movement on the Hill. But as of late, we have started to see movement on the Hill.
So you're basically saying that the United States senators, along with the House members, are putting immigration reform as a priority in the budget infrastructure bill? So what you've been seeing is in the past couple of months, a lot of these bills going through the pipeline with respect to the House and the Senate. And so you are seeing H.R. six on the House side of things on the House of Representatives side, you're looking at the American Dream and Promise Act, and that did pass in the House a couple of months ago.
