Dr. Hill is a psychoanalyst, educator and a leading proponent of the paradigm shift to affect regulation.  In addition to his private practice he has taught courses for over 30 years at psychoanalytic and psychotherapy institutes.  These include courses in adolescent development and psychopathology and in the clinical use of multiple models.

Dr. Hill's publications and presentations include topics ranging from the erotic transference, the clinical use of multiple models, the influence of the internet on psychoanalysis, the possibilities and limitations of video-mediated therapy and, more recently, religious fundamentalism understood through the lens of affect regulation.  

In 1996 Dr. Hill founded PsyBC which in 2016 morphed into The Center for the Study of Affect Regulation (CSAR.nyc).  For the past ten years he has conducted conferences and private study groups focused on an in depth understanding of affective processes in normal development, pathogenesis and treatment. He is on the faculties of the National Institute of the Psychotherapies and the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Dr. Hill is the author of the 2015 book Affect Regulation Theory: a Clinical Model (Norton Press).

Eric is a registered psychotherapist, counsellor, coach, and mentor who specializes in serving the (neuro)divergent -- outside-of-the-box folks who identify, for example, as complex, creative, gifted, intense, and highly sensitive.

While he helps his clients with a variety of challenges, Eric is particularly passionate about working with individuals navigating through periods of significant personal growth, life transition, existential searching, and shifts in identity.

He gained an honours in psychology (despite been an alcoholic at the time), and has taught widely in the corporate world where he pretended to be a grown up for years, including with blue-chip companies (e.g. Google, Unilever, Shell, Axa, L’Oreal) whom he charged wayyyy too much as they made him wear a suit.

He has also upset… sorry, taught… many yogis, NGOs, police officers and several militaries.

He has worked in war zones, and entertained over 50,000 children. He has headlined International Coach Federation events, taught at Moscow State University, lived with the circus in Ethiopia, taught celebrities and kissed a princess.

Mark is an aikido black belt, and also has 25 years of experience of other martial arts, with yoga, bodywork, improv comedy, conscious dance and meditation.

Embodiment is his obsession, life’s work, and frankly at this point he couldn’t get a job doing anything else. He dances like your dad at a wedding, overshares about his gorgeous Ukrainian wife, and offends pirates with his swearing.

Jay Fields, M.A. E-RYT is a somatic educator, therapeutic coach and author who has taught embodied self-awareness practices to individuals and organizations for 19 years. Her approach to helping people have their own back at work and in life is grounded, playful, empathic and intelligent. Jay received her BA in Psychosocial Health and Human Movement from the College of William and Mary and her masters in Integral Transformative Education from Prescott College. She is the author of the book Teaching People, Not Poses and is on the board for The School of Lost Borders. When not working with clients or facilitating trainings, you can find Jay riding her motorcycle in the mountains outside of Ojai, California where she lives.

But few people realize that our emotional and social intelligence emerge out of our somatic intelligence. Our capacity for courage, vision, resilience, connection, and leadership all have neurobiological roots. That’s great news, because it gives us a concrete path to train ourselves to embody vital life skills, such as a powerful presence, grace under pressure, and the ability to inspire others and resolve conflict. Just as we can build bigger biceps by lifting weights, we can train for greater resilience, better communication, and more influential leadership by tapping the wisdom of the body. These are skills that every body needs.

Adrian Bejan received the Benjamin Franklin Medal for "Thermodynamics and constructal theory," which predicts natural design and its evolution in engineering, scientific, and social systems.

His degrees are from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S.1971, M.S.1972, Ph.D.1975). At Duke University, he is the J.A. Jones Distinguished Professor. He authored 30 books and 650 peer-refereed journal articles, and was awarded 18 honorary doctorates from universities in 11 countries.

Professor Bejan’s impact on thermal sciences is highlighted by his original methods of theory, modeling, analysis and design that today are associated with his name: entropy generation minimization, scale analysis, temperature-heat diagram, intersection of asymptotes, constructal law, design and evolution in nature.
