Reg Hastings share his first hand account of going to war as a young lad, and his time as a gunner in the Scimitar CVRT (23C) which you can view on display along with two more CVRTs n our new Heritage Hall at the museum.

The Raid on Scarborough, Hartlepool and Whitby on 16 December 1914 was an attack by the Imperial German Navy on the British ports of Scarborough, Hartlepool, West Hartlepool and Whitby, without planning and warning.
