The Edge Breakfast

Here is this weeks Greatest Eight. Including Dans marketing Monday jingle, Meg and Clints dating cons as well as a Miley Cyrus hit the spot

Meg’s jalapeño-pineapple pickled onion cheesecake unleashes pure office chaos, forcing Theo into a walk of shame straight to the kitchen sink.

Plus, Mick pulls the most unhinged R20 dating “icks” from Instagram, from 40-year-olds DoorDashing DVD players to show off high school football tapes, to literal biological hazards, and Creech drops a wildly inappropriate take on eating ass vs. tomatoes

Clint, Meg and Dan kick off Friday Edge Breakfast ahead of a long weekend, give $100 to first caller Sophia, and debate whether the cook should also do the dishes. Scandal headlines cover Pitbull reacting to an unrehearsed J.Lo moment and thriller author James Patterson moving into romantasy. Listeners compete in “Eyes for the Signs” with creative promos, then judge Dan’s brutally honest dating cons. Easy Money stumps callers for $1,000, while Westpac Studio Tap awards $1,000 to Jakey after his son spills Fanta on a PlayStation. Meg reads a poem for her daughter’s 5th birthday, Laura McGoldrick previews a packed sport weekend, and the team taste-test wild food creations, including Meg’s pickled onion cheesecake and Dan’s “hazelnut hog.

Is making a cringe TikTok video actually the key to selling your house?

This week, Meg gets ready to put her family home on the market. She shares why she’s terrified of cringey real estate trends and how emotional it is to say goodbye to a house full of memories. Meanwhile, Clint offers a hilarious way to comfort her on move-out day, and Dan plans to crash her open homes in disguise to drive up the price.

Clint, Meg, and Dan return with a big show: Dan upgrades “Hit The Spot” by getting winched up in a flesh-toned morph suit to perform Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” misses the timing, then nails it on the second try. They unpack Dan’s fake neck tattoo mishap, debate who deserves lotto winnings, and hear from Kai who won $800k at 18 and paid off his parents’ house. A caller shares a family intervention over an affair. Scandal headlines tease a new Glee series, Love Island chat reveals a bombshell hasn’t kissed in two years, and Meg’s brutally honest dating cons tap listeners out. The show ends with a disastrous lychee-peanut butter-chocolate-onion creation ahead of Marco Pierre White’s visit.

Clint and Dan are joined by Lucy while Meg recovers at home. The crew kicks off with a spirited physical roast, from measuring eye lengths to debating whether Dan has an underbite, before diving down a bizarre Guinness World Records rabbit hole involving 66-year-old fingernails and the logistics of intimate life.

Meg is off sick so Lucy fills in as the team reacts to a shocking attack on an Australian politician and shares Lucy’s unsettling encounter while walking, sparking a discussion on safety and raising respectful boys. Listeners confess secrets, including a teen locker-room fire, and the crew debates how long a voice message is too long. They cover quick scandal headlines, play Easy Money, and share awkward “teacher in the wild” sightings. “Hit The Spot” voting selects Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” with plans for an over-the-top studio setup. They launch a sign promo for Electric Ave tickets, preview the Imposter dating edition to win Sydney trips, chat to a Love Island Australia bombshell, debate GTA NPC flirting, swap worst-timed holiday stories, and check in with the Arvo Show living in a camper van at Spark.

We thought we were having a normal morning with Lucy filling in until she genuinely asked if porcupines live forever because they are nocturnal.

Between measuring eyeball distance live on air and exposing Dan's childhood mermaid costumes, things spiralled fast. Grab your headphones, you are not ready for this mess!

Meg is away sick so Lucy fills in as Clint and Dan kick off Tuesday with early-texter medal awards, a debate about scheduling texts and using ChatGPT for grocery lists, and Clint’s mission to catch a mouse humanely. Caller Alice returns with a story about her sister winning the South African lotto and the crew gives away $100. Scandal includes Selena Gomez saying vaping changed her voice and Kings of Leon announcing a 2027 Auckland Domain show. Comedian Chopper joins to plug his NZ tour, Gemma shares doing Olivia Dean’s nails backstage, Dan debuts a chaotic Macarena jingle, listeners share wild “right after birth” stories, and the team tackles A-lister rankings, forever engagements, and more giveaways.

Dan gets into a full-blown yelling match with a nosy neighbour over sidewalk parking, complete with Hannah stepping in and threats of running people over. Meanwhile, Meg puts Dan's intelligence to the test with a "Quiz for Dummies" to redeem his math abilities from last week, featuring a lifeline call to Clint and a very confusing riddle about cats and mice. Plus, the team tracks down an old booster math classmate, and the studio text machine gets flooded with NSFW insults.
