Varun Nayar speaks with journalist Alli Maloney about her two year long reporting project on the Columbus Division of Police. During the episode, Maloney talks about Columbus' troubled history with racism and police violence, biased hiring practices, and what she sees for the future of this community.

Varun Nayar spoke with Pacific Standard writer Jimmy Tobias about the future of public lands and conservation. Tobias recently reported on a key member of the Department of the Interior's work schedule, which showed a lack of meetings with conservation groups. They also talked about the politics of federal lands, and the potential future of a new Civilian Conservation Corps.
