In this episode, I welcome Gord Kitely. Gord is a father, husband and son who lives in Calgary and works in the energy industry. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar and reading about ways to expand and diversify the experiences in his life. He has his podcast (The Second Act Podcast), where he aims to share the stories of people doing what they want to, not what they have to do and working with people who are open to new ideas.
In this episode, Gord and I talk about the ego and how to manage situations where the ego runs our lives. Gord shares some of the stuff he does to manage his ego and how it can lead us astray. The book Ego is the Enemy inspired this conversation by Ryan Holiday. Gord and I have read this book and wanted to share our experiences.
