In Episode 14 of The Electronic Intifada Podcast, Nora and Asa welcome back As'ad AbuKhalil, a professor of political science at California State University Stanislaus and a commentator on Middle East politics, to the show to discuss the aftermath of US president Donald Trump's assassinations of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the leader of Iraqi militias that were instrumental in the defeat of ISIS -- so-called Islamic State.

On episode 13 of The Electronic Intifada Podcast, Nora and Asa are joined by Ali Abunimah to discuss the most significant stories of 2019.

"We have no option but to hold onto hope and to keep struggling for the world we want to live in," Ali says.

"We see Palestinians holding on, we see that spirit of steadfastness still there and we see people around the world" advocating for Palestinian rights, he adds.

Journalist and filmmaker Abby Martin joins Nora and Asa to talk about the production of her documentary film, Gaza Fights for Freedom. Filmed during the height of the Great March Of Return protests, it features exclusive footage of demonstrations where 200 unarmed civilians have been killed by Israeli snipers since 30 March, 2018.
