Diana Wang is a Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer who has a private practice in the Orange County area. She started out working in the clinical setting and eventually made the decision to quit her job and start her own practice. She combined her passion for jiu-jitsu and sports medicine by focusing her practice within the grappling community (Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling, judo, etc.). We sit down and talk about how she navigated through it all to get to where she is today and what she learned along the way. She discusses why she chose to go into Physical Therapy, how she navigated through school, and what she learned when she got out into the real world. If you have any questions for myself or Diana about anything please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know. You can find Diana on instagram @openmat_physio
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope everyone is doing outstanding! On today's Christmas episode I talk about why you should give more than you receive. This is a mindset and philosophy my Dad instilled in me at a young age and I have had so much good come from it. It is something my dad taught me to apply in both in my personal life and in my career. I share with you the positive impact it has had on my life and hope that it can help you as much as it has helped me. Please share with anyone that might to hear this and as always let me know what you think about the podcast. Hope you find some value in this. If you do tweet me @elikassab and let me know!
Hey everyone, on today's episode of the podcast I address the importance of anticipating what needs to be done ahead of time and executing on that. This is something that I personally have not seen many people do in the work setting. It is certainly a skill that can help you tremendously in your career in many ways. Anticipating wants, needs, and problems before they happen and having a plan in place can really help you stand out at work while also helping you become more productive/efficient. This creates a win win situation between yourself and those around you so please give this episode a listen. Let me if you guys have any comments/concerns via tweet @elikassab or by text/DM. Thanks for listening and please please please share the podcast!
HHHEEELLLLLOOOO all you beautiful people! I hope everyone is doing amazing! In this episode I talk about the importance of crushing the job that you don't care about and why it is SO important to your career. Developing this mindset and creating good habits will help you in ALL aspects of life but especially when it comes to getting your dream job. Something I see/hear all too often is "Why do I need to work hard for my company", "They don't deserve the benefits of me working hard", "Why should I help them when they don't care about me", and the list goes on and on. But while this may make sense to you in the short term it can actually have a negative impact on you in the long run. How? Listen to this episode and I will explain. If you find it helpful or have any thoughts on this let me know by DMing me on any social media platform, texting, or tweeting me @elikassab...Enjoy!
In this episode I talk about the importance of understanding your why when it comes to your life, jobs, careers, majors, etc. I think people to spend more time going into more depth about understanding their why because it can help you understand more about yourself. Understanding your why can help you make those tough decisions in life when it comes to your job/career or in your personal life. Tweet me @elikassab and let me know what your thoughts are on this.
SSSooooo this is my first tag team podcast episode and I used one of my best friends, Bruno Silva. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and has a wide variety of experiences. There was no structure, no plan, and totally spur of the moment. We even had talks of redoing it with more structure but felt like using this because while it was a trial run to test things out it is a very real and authentic conversation. I want to show people that it is okay to post things that are not perfect, so here it is. A little bit about Bruno, he currently works football at Dixie State University in St. George, UT, and has had experiences working Arena Football (LA Kiss) and NFL summer/pre-season internship positions with both the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. We ended up talking a lot about his experience in the Athletic Training profession, what he suggests for those interested in the career and what he learned along the way. We also ended up talking about Athletic Training business within the clinical setting. Hopefully this provided you some value and you enjoyed the talk, if you did please tweet me @elikassab and let me know! I would really appreciate it!
What's up everyone! In this this episode I talk about the differences between soft and hard skills which one I have seen be at the root of most issues/conflicts in the work setting. Thanks for listening and hope you get some value out of this!
