It's time to discuss all the amazing news coming from Lucasfilm animation as only two fangirls can! Please welcome Grace back to the studio as she and Shay talk about everyone's favorite cartoons in a galaxy far, far away!

On this episode, we talk about the upcoming STAR WAR: RESISTANCE show, as well as the return of THE CLONE WARS!!

We go over the animation style of Resistance and the reaction it's gained so far, as well as our thoughts on the whole thing, including Dave Filoni's involvement and how it measures up to the history of Star Wars animation. We break down the teaser trailer in slo-mo and get incredibly confused regarding the names of most of the characters.

Then we cover that *amazing* news about The Clone Wars, and how that show returning might be dictating some things concerning Resistance.

There's been a lot of craziness in the Star War fandom lately, so we've decided it's time to take a quick detour into another fandom that needs some serious love right now: the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Shay and return guest Aceofstars16 are here and more than ready to obsess about Marvel. Peter Parker, Tony Stark, and Dr. Strange haters beware: Infinity War broke our hearts and we will not hold back any love from these amazing heroes.

The Elven Padawan podcast is back from hiatus!

Shay is joined by fellow teen fangirl, Grace, who also happens to be an up-and-coming fan artist. As you've come to expect from this podcast, the episode starts out with a review of the most recent Star Wars news; they review the most recent batch of Forces of Destiny shorts and discuss whether they believe these are "necessary" additions to the Star Wars franchise; they cover the announcement of Star Wars Resistance, their ideas on the new style for the show, and which returning characters they would most like to see come into play; and with the premire of Solo: A Star Wars Story only a short way ahead, they discuss their feelings towards the film, and the characters of Han Solo and Lando Calrissian in general.

Finally, in honor of Mother's Day, they discuss some of the great mother characters throughout the saga, with a special emphasis on Leia Organa and Hera Syndulla. They also fail miserably with any attempt to NOT rant for a half hour about Star Wars Rebels.

In which Shay begins the podcast by delivering a rant about how she sees the current state of things in fandoms, and how it bothers her, and finishes by offering some thoughts about the latest episodes of Star Wars Rebels.

For the first almost-hour of the podcast, I talk about what I see happening to our fandoms and places of escape, and how it bothers are worries me. Although I'm a little nervous about letting everyone hear my thoughts on this, this is something that has really been eating at me a lot lately, and I felt it was time to share. I hope this doesn't upset anyone, and hopefully, it will help someone out there.

The latter part of the podcast is me giving a brief review on those big reveals in the last several episodes of Star Wars Rebels, and my personal theory about how the appearance of Force ghosts is determined.

It's finally time for Shay's thoughts on STAR WARS VIII: THE LAST JEDI!!!

Actually, it's more like unorganized ranting about different main aspects of the film here... Shay explores her thoughts on The Force Awakens and how they compare to The Last Jedi, and what she thought of the film overall. Then she goes into some thoughts on the character highpoints: Rey's development, Rey and Kylo's relationship, Luke's change and whether it destroys his character or not, and more.

(There will probably be another part to thisin the form of a legitimate review next time, cuz this girl has waaay too many thoughts to fit into one 1-hour episode!!)
