While coping with PTSD from a birth trauma, Bekah discovered coding and went from English teacher to software developer. She is also a mom of 4, an active member of the online coding community, and co-Founder of virtualcoffee.io.

Today we talk to Ania Wysocka about anxiety…where it comes from, how it’s affecting our society now, and what we can do about it. She also shares about how she bootstrapped Rootd early on to start with limited funding and her best advice for female founders.

Ania Wysocka is the founder and creator of Rootd, a mobile app for panic attack and anxiety relief she has grown to help over 500,000 (updated since recording!) users in over 150 countries. Ania is also a Forbes 30 Under 30 and Program Director at Alacrity Canada, where she created and leads a Digital Marketing Bootcamp that now runs province-wide in partnership with the BC government to help hundreds of individuals and small businesses, particularly those impacted by COVID-19.

Rootd has been named one of the "best apps for anxiety" by Healthline, Cosmopolitan, and Women’s Health, and was featured in the Time Magazine special edition: The Age of Anxiety.
