Bids were heard today for The Boston Herald, with three potential buyers looking to take over the struggling paper while also hoping to eliminate some of its current debt. Yesterday, the CEO of The New York Times said in an interview that he believes the paper’s print version could last for ten more years, but definitely has an expiration date. Media analyst and Boston University Professor Tobe Berkovitz joins Dan in studio to talk about the industry of print journalism and what being a two-paper city has meant for Boston over the years.
