Alex Staniforth is an accomplished endurance athlete and author from United Kingdom, who has lived a life of perseverance and growth, to really embody the endurance mindset.
In this episode we discus Alex’s upbringing in Chester, where he was challenged by epilepsy and a stammer, leading him to be bullied and suffer from anxiety. However, Alex never let this stop him from achieving his goals, as he discovered the world of the outdoors through hiking and paragliding, which pushed his mind as a young teenager to set the goal of one day conquering Mount Everest.
Alex is an accomplished author, who has reflected on the disasters that have taken place on Everest while he was there in his book Icefall. In continuing his chase to raise the bar, Alex set his goals on ultra-running where he completed the national three peaks, which consisted of him running between each mountain, leading him to cover around 450 miles in 9 days. Alex also discusses his projects such as climb UK where he submits all county tops in the UK and explain the founding of his charity mind over mountains.
