The new Southern California Edison community renewable program, is it good or bad for you.

Southern California Edison is admitting that solar power is a viable option but they don't want you to install it on your roof.

Edison states that they will purchase renewable energy from independently owned solar farms in California on "your behalf"

sending you the solar power without installing solar.

They stated that this new program is voluntary and optional for residential and commercial customers, just not to direct access or aggregation customers.

The issue I have with this program is (If you read between the lines), for every $100.00 of green energy you buy from Edison, its going to cost you an additional $21.00 just for the privilege of buying if from them? ... How is that a savings?

Here's what we suggest while you still can, buy solar and put it on your home or business and take advantage of the (ITC) - "Incentive Tax Credit" yourself, produce your own energy and take advantage of not paying for energy for the next 25-40 years.

In this PodCast, we are talking about the new SCE billing rates introducing “Time Of Use” (TOU) to residential customers in the Southern California Edison territory and other relating energy efficiencies.

One of their best rates, “PRIME”, is only available until April 30th 2019, so if you have a residential solar system on your home, change your rate as soon as possible.

Once the prime TOU rate is gone, you can only get it again "If" you install one of the following products.

(1) Electric Water Heating - Not energy efficient.
(2) Buying an electric vehicle and charger.
(3) Install a solar system with a lithium ion backup system.

It said nothing about just installing a solar system … Seriously?
