There is a shift in perspective that is gaining ground, that unleashing better energy is likely to deliver the best human outcomes through 2050. This means vastly more energy, at a lower cost, to unlock new possibilities (including AI), and to mitigate the consequences of inevitable climate change (rather than pretending we can stop climate change). This is a total departure from the decarbonization movement's 2019-21 consensus, that the best human outcomes would be achieved by limiting energy use, for example by targeting c20% lower global energy use by 2050.  This was the key topic of discussion in our podcast - we hope you enjoy listening!
