The Engage Podcast

In our final episode of this year, we in our annual tradition pick our favourite podcast memories! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you all in January 2025!

In this episode we get into the Christmassy mood spirit by doing a film commentary for a movie Jamie wanted to do. The 1996 film Jingle All The Way starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In this year's Absent Friends we remember and shine a spotlight on the amazing achievements of Marie Severine (Comic Book Artist), James Darren (Actor), Louise Fletcher (Actress) and Jerry Goldsmith (Composer).

As you'll be able to tell from the title, in this episode of the podcast we hear the convoluted reasoning behind Simon's love of Starships.

In this week’s episode we take a look at the history behind one of the most famous spy planes in existence the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird spy plane. A supersonic plane with a complicate history which broke many height and speed records.

In this week’s episode, we welcome back the one and only Larry Nemecek (Doctor Trek) after five years (since 2019) to get his thoughts on all the positive sides to the Star Trek fandom we all enjoy. Whilst also talking to him about fandom in its physical form the Star Trek Magazine (now Star Trek Explorer) which should've been celebrating its 30th Anniversary early next year!

So, after ten years of podcasting we’re finally doing a subject Jamie’s wanted to do since Day One surrounding the crime and punishment seen throughout the Star Trek universe. To see whether any species got the right balance between fairness, equality and justice.
