This Easter, we pray for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may see the risen Jesus and his hope in our lives!

Before his work on the cross, Jesus celebrated that work as the king who came in the name of the Lord. He brought peace, as he himself is peace. And he brought us his victory over death. So we celebrate, too!

Jesus knew the Father as the prodigal God who loves his children with reckless abandon. God is recklessly compassionate and joyful toward us, withholding nothing. Let him love you. And if you are already with him, ask for his gifts and you will receive.

God works in our lives even before we acknowledge him. This is part of his pursuit of us. Will you trust him to give you what you need? If you do, he will speak to you and invite you to understand his faithfulness and experience it more and more.

God desires to engage us with our biggest hopes and deepest fears. This means being honest with God not only about our needs but also our wants and desires.

When God asks us a question, it isn't because he doesn't know the answer but rather because He desires to hear from us. Often it is the questions God asks that reveal our motives and heart. Listen to the story of Elijah and what God reveals about his heart (and ours) through the powerful question - "What are you doing here?"
