Have you ever thought about immortality? Or time travel? Or how you could upload your consciousness into a harddrive and live in a virtual world? Or how you could be Superman and fly across seas, saving lives and doing good?
At some point in time, we’ve all found ourselves having these radical, crazy thoughts that might be out of a sci-fi movie. But have you ever wondered if one day these could come true? The whole point of human evolution is to expand our horizons and find new frontiers. 3D animations help us realize this dream. Something doesn’t exist, screw that, I’ll model it, animate it, render it, I’ll bring it to life. We, as humans, have the power right now to do that. Bring those solutions to life that use to feel like something out of a sci-fi flick or a well crafted Animation movie. Augmented and Virtual reality is set to change the way we will perceive this world forever. Remember E.D.I.T.H. from Far From Home? Imagine that being a household item soon except maybe summoning drones to kill your bullies or those who try to steal your girl. The point is, things of the future are already here, and it’s all very, very real.
So today, on the Engineer Project, we’re talking about Sci-Fi and Immortality.
I've always stressed a lot about personal branding and having a strong portfolio. But how do you build one? How to build the right skills, how to make the right connections. In this episode, we're talking about all these burning questions that go through every final year's head as they enter the Placement season. So on this penultimate episode of the season one of The Engineer Project, we're having a Pre Placement Talk.
This week we have not one, but two very talented people who not just maximized their college life but also bagged amazing placement in super dream companies. On The Engineer Project, we have Harsh Malik and Apoorv Goyal with us. Harsh is a mechanical engineer, is the recipient of ET Campus stars tag, and is also a designer. Apoorv is a through and through techie with knowledge in every possible field, he's a competitive coder, and an electronics and communications engineer. I'm really glad that both of them could join us on The Engineer Project. Harsh will talk from a core field point of view and Apoorv will add insights from the coding background. I hope this talk helps a lot of students in dire need of direction.
Entrepreneurship is a really complex field to get into. Not only do you have to be good at what you do, but you also need to know how to sell it and scale it. Now I'm not an entrepreneur myself but I have been closely associated with a lot of startups and seen how they function and grow as time goes along. I'm also really fascinated by how 3D printing is shaping the world of manufacturing and rapidly replacing conventional manufacturing processes. This episode lies at the intersection of 3D printing and the entrepreneurial spirit. So, this week on the Engineer Project, we're talking about Entrepreneurship and the fascinating world of 3D printing.
This week, on the Engineer Project my happiness knows no bounds as I talk to the CEO and co-founder of one of the leaders in the Additive Manufacturing Industry in India. We all have failed at some point in our lives. And I can bet, that was the worst time of your life. Not because you failed, but mostly because the people around you ensured that you kept hearing about it again and again.
