    Mike Clark has recorded with such well-known jazz greats as Christian McBride, Chet Baker, John Scofield, Nicholas Payton, Tony Bennett, Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson,Donald Harrison, Eddie Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Vince Guaraldi, Woody Shaw, Albert King, Larry Coryell, Mike Wolff, Wallace Roney, Billy Childs, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Chris Potter, Bobby McFerrin, Nat Adderly, Oscar Brown Jr., and Gil Evans and his Orchestra.

    Along with James Brown’s drummer Clyde Stubblefield, Mike’s beats with The Headhunters (most notably “God Make Me Funky”) include some of the most sampled in hip hop. Hehas been featured in Downbeat, Musician, International Musician & Recording World, Modern Drummer, Jazz Times, Guitar Player, Jazz Is, and numerous jazz history and method books.

     

    Mike is a popular and busy clinician. His latest book, “The Post Bop Drum Book” on Hudson Music is a big hit. A previous book, “Funk Drumming: Innovative Grooves & Advanced Concepts” was published in 2012 by Hal Leonard. 

    As a bandleader, his release “Give The Drummer Some” earned a rare four and a half stars in Downbeat. “The Funk Stops Here,” a joint effort with Hancock alumni Paul Jackson got five stars, as did 2011’s “Carnival of Soul.” In 2001, his solo CD “Actual Proof” met with critical acclaim, as did the 2003 acoustic jazz release, “Summertime,” featuring Chris Potter and Billy Childs, which spent weeks in the top ten jazz charts. 2009’s “Blueprints of Jazz” featuring Patrice Rushen, Randy Brecker, Donald Harrison, Rob Dixon, and Christian McBride was considered one of the top jazz releases of the new millennium by Downbeat magazine.

    Bobby Rymer spent many years at Almo-Irving working under publishing superstar David Conrad, taking over the top position when Conrad retired.

    At this boutique agency he represented diverse catalogues from rockers Peter Frampton and Bruce Springsteen to Americana icon Patty Griffith to Country legend Kent Robbins.

    After Universal absorbed Almo-Irving Bobby became director of the publishing arm of Writer’s Den Music Group. Their focus was previously unsigned writers and their roster of newcomers included Adam Wright who received a Grammy nomination for Alan Jackson’s “You Don’t Have To Love Me Any More.”

    Before joining the publishing side of the business, Rymer was in A&R at Capitol Records from 1985 to 1990 working with Garth Brooks, Barbara Mandrell, New Grass Revival, Marie Osmond, Kenny Rogers, Dan Seals and Tanya Tucker among others.


    Steve Leslie has been a professional songwriter since 1992, and also teaches songwriting. He has a Grammy Award for writing the title track for Ricky Skaggs' 2004 Best Bluegrass Album.

    He has been teaching professionally since 1983.

    Leslie has performed with a multitude of talented East Coast musicians, opening for national acts such as: Blue Oyster Cult, White Lion, Jason Aldean, Joe Nichols, Cheap Trick, Night Ranger, Wynona, Rick Derringer, RTZ (featuring Brad Delp of BOSTON) and Ace Frehley of KISS.

    Steve has performed and recorded with artist such as: 
TM Stevens, ( Joe Cocker, The Pretenders), Bernie Worrell (P-Funk), Stephanie Eulinberg (Kid Rock), Will Calhoun (Living Color),
