  • Luke Ski’s Animation & Stuff Podcast – Episode 19: Normal Is Overrated – featuring Juana Sawyer aka Moose Almighty

About 5 years ago I got to know the incredibly talented artist Juana Sawyer, a.k.a. “Call Me Moose Almighty” after finding her hilarious pencil-drawn animatic-style videos on TikTok. Since then I have commissioned a few pieces from her, mainly of her interpretations of my OCs “Dienne & Darius” who she has become a big fan of. She kindly accepted my invitation to be a guest on the podcast, where we talked about our experiences developing our art styles, the-little-movie-that-could “Coyote Vs. Acme”, and Moose completely dodging admitting that she has a gigantic crush on Donatello from “Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. Hopefully someday, we’ll actually meet in person, as soon as my ACME Trans-Continental Portal Generator arrives in the mail. What could go wrong? [Legal disclaimer: Everything could go wrong.]

  • Louche, Brio and Bravura: Tribute to Tim Curry | Earth Station Boo

He gave us the most iconic villain in midnight movie history. He gave us the clown that scared a generation. He gave us the butler who did it, the lord of darkness, and a voice that could make you feel every emotion simultaneously. On August 25, 2026, the world lost Timothy James Curry at the age of 80 – and horror, theatre, animation, and pop culture lost one of their greatest treasures. Tea and Karen pay tribute to the late, great Tim Curry with a deep dive into his extraordinary career – from the Royal Shakespeare Company to Dr. Frank-N-Furter, from Pennywise to Wadsworth to Darkness, from Broadway to the animated series that shaped childhoods around the world. This one is for him.

    • Spooky Season Begins

Spooky season has officially arrived, and we’re kicking it off with a classic.

Shawn introduces Leah to They Live, the 1988 sci-fi cult classic starring Roddy Piper. Shawn recently picked up two NECA alien action figures from the movie, so naturally, that meant Leah had to watch it. Did she love it? Let’s just say her review wasn’t exactly glowing.

We also headed out to a local chili cook-off supporting the local soup kitchen. We sampled five different chilis and got to vote for our favourites. Leah even filmed the event for her new YouTube channel, My Northern Life With Leah.

Speaking of YouTube, Shawn talks about the surprising growth of The Long Way Around. What started as a small side project has been growing much faster than expected, and we’re still trying to figure out where all of this might lead.

Then there’s the Robin saga: In our last episode, we talked about Shawn’s brother Robin accusing us of stealing his stuffed Robin’s Donuts robin plush. The story got shared all over Facebook. Well, there’s an update. About a week later, Robin found the original bird. Mystery solved!

Shawn is also getting ready for another road trip. He’s heading to Sudbury for Creature Con, then continuing north to Timmins to visit his son. It’s been three years since he’s been back that way, so there’s plenty to look forward to.

And because this is Shawn, there’s also a story about smashing his face into lumber sticking out the back of a truck while working his mail route.

Plus, there’s plenty of our usual coffee-fueled conversation, random tangents, and whatever else comes up when Shawn and Leah sit down to talk.

      Welcome to spooky season!

    • The Mad Magician | Episode 534

Jim revisits a favorite thriller from his childhood – 1954’s “The Mad Magician,” directed by John Brahm and starring Vincent Price, Mary Murphy, Eva Gabor, John Emery, Donald Randolph, Lenita Lane, Patrick O’Neal, and Jay Novello. Hoping to cash in on Price’s success the year before with “House Of Wax,” Columbia Pictures scripted this tale of a turn-of-the century illusionist seeking revenge on the man who stole his dreams .. and his wife. It’s an atmospheric gem with a little Grand Guignol on the side. Find out more on MONSTER ATTACK!, The Podcast Dedicated To Old Monster Movies.
