(Have you ever run 100 miles in a day? Judy has. Don’t you feel completely exhausted just reading that?) Then for some 1980s talk (which does happen occasionally around here), we explore the world of 80s fashion. Hopefully you still have your leg warmers and giant shoulder pads ready to go. And finally, since this is our 1984 episode, Judy shares her Top 4 ½ List of favorite movies from that magical year. Is Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo at the top of her list? Probably not, but let’s find out together…

The first season of What If…? was a surprise hit. Showcasing different paths that the MCU could have taken allowed the storytellers to reveal new aspects of familiar characters. In this episode we talk about the second season of the series. We discuss the various plot lines and what we think about them. We also compare it to the first season and what we think of the overall course of the season. We also give our opinions on whether or not new characters should be introduced in What If…?
Due to time constraints there is no five-minute controversy this week.
This week Juliette, Kelley, Kori, and Wil join the cast.

Make plans but don’t plan the outcome is a phrase I heard often in my early years. My grandfather was a fount of knowledge, wisdom and cliches. Not planning the outcome was his favourite expression. This idiom has stuck with me for my entire life. And yet, this nugget of wisdom is not always easy to heed. We all want things to turn out a certain way. That’s what being human is all about. People are constantly making plans and planning how things will turn out. Everyone wants what they want. This is human nature. These things rarely go to plan. One must adapt and readjust as necessary based on conditions and circumstances.
This week’s episode is a fun discussion between Shawn and Leah about making plans. And we are discussing more about how our Etsy shops operate. ABS is our underlying philosophy. It means Always Be Sourcing. To run a successful business, you must be constantly on the hunt for new merchandise to post in your shop.
Find Leah’s Etsy shop at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Collectandcaston
Find Shawn’s Etsy shop at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/RustedRobotToys
And so, make plans but don’t plan the outcome. This applies to all aspects in life. To “make plans” means to decide what you want to do or accomplish, and to set a course of action to achieve that. This can be for personal activities, like a vacation, or for professional tasks, like a project deadline.
Steps to Make Plans:
Identify Your Goals: What do you want to achieve? Be specific and measurable.
Break Down Tasks: Identify the specific steps needed to reach your goals.
Set Deadlines and Timelines: Give yourself a reasonable timeframe to complete each task.
Prioritize Tasks: Decide which tasks are most important and need to be done first.
Allocate Resources: Determine what you need (time, money, tools, etc.) to complete the tasks.
Monitor and Adjust: Regularly check your progress and make adjustments as needed.
