Dr. Steve Yacovelli has been in the leadership, learning and development, change management, and diversity and inclusion consulting space pretty much his whole career (about twenty-five years).
A few years ago, Steve realized that the focus on specifically developing LGBTQ+ Leaders wasn’t really top of mind for many organizations.
So, “The Gay Leadership Dude™” was born. It’s Steve’s brand to “come out” and acknowledge the role he wants to take to give back to the LGBTQ+ Community and awesome Allies.
It’s refreshing to cut through the noise with Steve and ask the questions that only those in the Queer Community know should be answered, all while having some fun and spreading the love. I hope you learn something from this episode - and also get a laugh.

Brooke Byvoet mentors women to find their true bliss, their identity and to let go of overwhelm, anxiety and trauma - enabling them to become their own self healers. Through breathwork and trauma release techniques, Brooke’s clients find their true inner power. Like so many guests I chat with all around the world, we had so much in common in the way we help others to be the change.

There is a fine line between emotional awareness and spiritual awakening, and that is where Benjy Sherer thrives as a mentor and teacher. Guiding people to emotional mastery, Benjy bridges the gaps between psychology, spirituality and philosophy. Those 3 realms are all intrinsically connected in his unique - and yet intuitively and compellingly simple - approach to self love and emotional mastery.
Growing up with a deep existential need for answers, his academic background in Philosophy and World Religions, left him pessimistic at the soul level about our ultimate role in this universe and the purpose of life. It wasn’t until after a dark night of the soul and a spiritual awakening of his own which led him to rediscover his true purpose and learn the skills, tools, and techniques that he teaches to clients today.
His overall approach is about “Feelings First”, referring to the notion that we can master our emotions directly, without the need for deep intellectual analysis, ultra-spiritual practices, or pharmaceutical medications. He teaches people how to connect directly with the emotions and sensations of their body - without fear, guilt or shame - and to allow these feelings to run through them so that they can be truly released.
Benjy and I could have talked all day as we had yet found another kindred soul connection who understood us at our core. I hope you get some gold out of this time we spent together.

Will Rodriguez has a background in science and spent a good slice of his life in the television industry. His evolution led him to podcasting, where he worked his way through a breakdown to create The Skeptic Metaphysician, connecting with leaders in different modalities of woowoo and healing to truly find what works. As a scientist, Will didn’t believe in blind faith and had to find the proof for himself. Through this conversation, we share our journeys which are incredibly similar and how podcasting has changed our lives.

Steven Ogden is an Anglican Priest and Theologian, now based in Adelaide. We first met about a decade ago where he was a guest on my LGBT radio show talking about love and inclusiveness. He’s just finished his fifth book that focuses on Violence, Entitlement and Politics and is not your regular parish priest. Steven is an advocate for change, bringing taboo conversations out of the dark and into the light. There’s not many people you’ll meet who simply are a reflection of spirit, kindness and love - but Steven is exactly that for me. I hope you enjoy this connection and learn something new along the way.

After enduring an abusive childhood, Jewels decided to use her earlier trauma to enter recovery from alcoholism, transform her body as a professional bodybuilder and write a book all about her story to help others. Her book - The Making of a Woman is an empowering tale of endurance, survival, and the discovery of an authentic existence. Throughout our conversation it became clear that we had so much in common and I hope that you also find that same connection.

I’d been getting messages from spirit for a while that told me we need to talk about shame more and make people aware of what it is and how damaging it can be in our lives. In the message I received, I could see the faces of the people who needed to be a part of this powerful and meaningful conversation. Experience has shown me that when I follow through on these messages and bring together the hearts, minds and souls of incredible specialists in their field that I call friends from around the world - true magic happens.
In this special edition of The Ethical Evolution, please join me and my friends - Dr Ronaye Calvert, Dr Lori Beth Bisbey and Cali Mau as we explore, acknowledge and move through shame to live a life of purpose and freedom.

My next guest is Nate Rifkin - an author, who on his quest to be an entrepreneur spiralled into debt, drinking, depression, loneliness and self-loathing. After a brutal bankruptcy and doing all he could to crawl out from this hole he had created, the spiritual practice of Daoism and daily standing meditation turned his entire life around. Once Nate had achieved that inner balance and peace, all the other aspects of his life started to fall into place. I truly loved this honest, open, connected space with Nate and I hope you do too.
