Thanks for checking out the 165th episode of The ETX ROCKS Show! In this show Boston Chris talks to the Handsome, goofy, talented, extremely good looking  Tyler Lenius! In maybe the funniest episode of this show ever, Tyler shows off his incredible personality, his witty comebacks and his extreme chops on the guitar, not to mention his muscular epidorslium! Check it out as Tyler shares a song he wrote in tribute to his grandfather and another he wrote on the spot!

(Courtesy of https://www.facebook.com/TylerLenius/)

Tyler began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 11 and has many influences such as Angus Young, SRV, Rick Derringer, Hendrix and John Mayer. Guitars were such a passion for Tyler and any chance he got to visit a music store or attend a guitar show he would go out of his way and spend most of the day taking in all the sounds of any guitar he could get in his hands.

Thanks for checking out the 164th episode of The ETX ROCKS Show! In this show Boston Chris talks to Dan Johnson and Phillip from The Salt Cedar Rebels on location at the phenomenol Love & War in Texas in Lindale! They chat about Dan's incredible grass roots music, staying true to himself in his writing and the importance of telling a story with his music proven by 2 incredible live performances including his latest single "Troubadour's Prayer"!

(Courtesy of http://www.saltcedarrebels.com/)

Singer-songwriter, Dan Johnson's latest album is a superb example of homage and reverence for legendary artistic influences, brought together with the glue of distinct individualism and uniqueness.

Poignant lyrics, rich use of harmony, and a notable focus on composition and arrangement are the hallmarks of Johnson’s albums and live shows. Dan’s lyrical influences such as Kris Kristofferson and Walt Wilkins (who joins Dan on “Troubadour’s Prayer” shine throughout the album with sparing but meaningful use of metaphor and poetic color. "Every time I listen to a Kristofferson album, I think to myself, 'Oh that's where I got that sound,” Johnson remarks.

(Courtesy of https://thecalamityjanes.com)

This trio of sisters is exactly what comes to mind when you think sassy Texas singer/songwriters- sassy and bold, gritty and clever. With signature three part blood harmonies rooted in church music from their childhood influenced by bluegrass, soul, classic rock and old school country with a big dose of their own ideas about Red Dirt/Texas music and solid song writing, The Calamity Janes have established a style that is truly all their own.
