It is a substantial organization and racks number two globally within the Business Aviation sector. A man who knows his numbers and is set to embrace many challenges and indeed opportunities.

Also a common link with me in as much as we both lived and worked in Atlanta during the 96 Olympics and also Miami. A very well-grounded professional who has a very positive approach to ensuring collaboration among the key organizations and stakeholders that interact and support the Global Airports Community. Clear ideas of what would be better in the future and an opinion on the New Normal and when? A very clear message on the importance of protecting those that can not work as a result of this pandemic and why the future must focus more on public health and hygiene.

In this episode we are joined by Trudy Wassel and Jim Szczesniak from Anchorage International Airport. A great team as will be seen from the podcast session. As Director and Deputy Director of one of the most interesting airports in the world their spirit and recognition of how lucky they are to work in such a location shines through. Even in such a location this Covid-19 enemy lurks in the shadows as it does almost everywhere in the world. The airport is however busy with freighter movements supporting the urgently required medical goods, pharmaceuticals and necessities of supply chain transport. A real 'window opener' and indication of just how important Cargo is especially in a crisis.

This episode we are joined by Glyn Hughes, Global Head of Cargo at IATA. Having known Glyn for well over a decade it was a pleasure to have him on board in his official capacity. Collaboration, reality and solidarity as well as resilience in how we as an industry respond and support each other as well as stepping up to the challenge of keeping the global supply chain moving for the good of all is no mean task in itself. To do so, by bringing organizations and stakeholders, Governments and regulators together and with direct focus is to be commended. Making things happen quicker and in a more simpler way is the order of global business today. Glyn, an entertainer and presenter by nature is more reflective as he leads his organization through these troubled times. He does so with a passion and an upbeat approach to coming out the other side and making the New Normal a platform of learning and sustainability.

Sustainability and real value of services and people being evaluated and measured so that effective accountability for how industries will respond and create a new foundation moving forward. Uncertain times need clear leadership and solid plans -- together will be the mantra moving forward -- together!

On this episode we are joined by one of the fastest and also innovative minded young leaders within our logistics industry - -Steven Dickson - a previous guest and popular one. A man who has lots of opinions and is also more than willing to share them. He is a man who can offer solutions and has a wealth of experience across all pillars of logistics. Not afraid to roll up sleeves and keep feet on the ground. A practical, and down to earth specialist. I talk to him about the NEW NORMAL and how things will never be the same. However, they may well be more value driven and more realistic. REALISM -- a word that needs to slot into our NEW NORMAL way of doing business. Margins Matter is my mantra at the moment and dropping many legacy activities quickly needs to be done by us all, as so many of them are a drain on resource and finance.

So many developments - so many challenges and yet so many opportunities. Reflections on the barriers and enablers of the sensitivities as well as necessities. An introduction to ATAG - Air Transportation Action Group and what is on the agenda for collaborative and positive initiatives. A really interesting session and one that makes you think. It did me.
