The parable of the talents is one of His last teachings before His death. Through this short story, He is preparing the the disciples for life without his physical presence. We will never be able to accurately manage all that God has given us until we firmly understand that everything in this world is His. He is entrusting all of us with His possessions and He has given us the ability to manage them for Him. We will be held accountable for that which God has given to us. We aren’t to manage these gifts according to what we think is best for our lives, but what is best according to His word.
