The Exempt List with Charles McDonald

The Exempt List is back this week with an update on the show from Charles before he's joined by longtime friend Justis Mosqueda of SB Nation to go over the first week of preseason football. An attempt at takes were made before the rambling started. Just because most of the starters are sitting doesn't mean the takes have to as well. Also, Scoob from the Trill Withers Show might be the baddest man on the planet.

Matt Harmon of Yahoo! Fantasy joined Charles on the Exempt List this week to go over the Deshaun Watson suspension, Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross getting in trouble for tampering, and the four wide receivers that got paid this summer. A.J. Brown, Deebo Samuel, Terry McLaurin and D.K. Metcalf all got the bag this summer. Harmon pulls out some Reception Perception data to detail what it means moving forward.

ESPN's Domonique Foxworth hopped on the Exempt List this week to talk all this NFC East. The Giants new coaching staff, the Commanders defensive line, and how the Eagles and Cowboys stack up against each other are all covered here. Well, the Commanders didn't get too much love, but Dan Snyder jokes were made!

Diante Lee of The Athletic joined the Exempt List this week to preview the NFC West! The Seahawks and 49ers have undergone big changes at quarterback, the Cardinals are debuting the smallest passing game in NFL history and the Rams have an even bigger discrepancy between the top and middle-class of their roster as they try to repeat.

Charles, fresh off a bout with COVID-19, joined up with Conor Orr to reminisce about something that made both of them feel worse: covering the New York Jets. The Jets and the rest of the AFC East get put under the microscope this week. Are the Bills the best team in the league? What's next for Mac and Tua? All that and more discussed.

Each one of the Raiders, Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos underwent major roster changes to try and get closer to capturing the Lombardi Trophy. Charles and Kaelen break down the teams and answer questions along the way.

NFC North analysis/mailbag with Derrik Klassen of Football Outsiders and Bleacher Report. The Packers might have the best defense in the NFL on paper, the Bears are just hanging out, the Vikings are still an intriguing team and the Lions have a sturdy foundation to continue rebuilding on.
