The Expectation

Listen Later

Have you ever felt that overwhelming sense that something is about to happen?

That mix of expectation and anxiety, the good kind.

The kind where your heartbeat gets fast, your hands grow a little sweaty, and your eyes keep scanning, as if what you’re waiting for could arrive at any moment.

If you’ve felt that, then you know exactly what I mean.

That’s how I feel about the next season.

And honestly, last night it was so intense that I had to pause and give myself a moment to breathe. Not out of fear—but because anticipation can be heavy when it carries meaning.

Imagine living with the expectation that good things are coming.

And let me be clear, this doesn’t mean the road will be smooth. There may be bumps, challenges, and moments that stretch us, but still… something good is coming. Something significant.

So what if, every time we feel that surge, every time that sense of almost rises within us, we pause?

What if we acknowledge the moment, sit with it, digest it, and allow our soul to process what’s unfolding?

Not as an emotional rush. Not as hype, but as a grounded, steady expectation of something about to happen.

That feeling, my friend, that is faith.

Faith that expects movement. Faith that anticipates action.

You may say, “I’m not religious. I don’t know what faith is.”

Well, faith is that very feeling. That inner knowing. That overwhelming awareness that something is stirring beyond what you can yet see.

And if this feels unfamiliar, if you don’t fully understand it—then maybe it’s time to walk alongside believers. People who can help you recognize it, nurture it, and not only feel it… but receive it and enjoy it, because faith isn’t passive.

Faith expects, and expectation changes how we wait!
