  1. Try everything so you know what you like
  • Be proactive about developing skills. Give yourself safe space to cultivate them in your off time.
  • Interview a prospective employer as much as they are interviewing you. Work where they'll let you find yourself and reach your highest potential.
  • Find role models doing things that interest you, even if they seem unconventional. Network with them and let them show you what's possible
  • Be willing to share your process. It's almost as important as the finished product (and a whole lot more interesting if you want to learn something).
