Pastor Joel continues our series in 2 Corinthians. This week, we'll learn about being an ambassador for Christ, and the call to live a separated life unto God.

Pastor Joel will take us through 2 Corinthians 5. We'll see that living to stay alive and living for Christ are two very different things. God would not have us fear death, and if we know Jesus, we have nothing to fear in death.

We'll learn this week about Paul's ministry core values, the power of the presence of Christ, and see practical examples from the life of Paul about how Jesus gave Paul boldness to stand firm for Christ in less than easy situations. Pastor Joel will continue our look at the second advent of Christ, and will take us through Matthew 24 and 25 to discuss the three questions the Disciples asked about the end of the age and the Lord's coming. Christ taught us to to watch, and to expect his return...and tells us what the climate will be like in the last days.

We'll begin our look at the second advent of Jesus, and the imminent rapture of the church...but to get there, we'll spend some time talking about theological mistakes. Then, we'll dive in to Daniel's prophecy of the 70 weeks. This week's message and next week's message will round out the Advent series.

Imagine living in the year 4bc and realizing that all of the prophets were pointing to that very era as the time of the coming Messiah. What an anticipation we might have had. Come Sunday and let's take a journey through the expectations and anticipations of believers who were looking for the first advent in the days of Jesus.

Pastor Joel will take us through 2 Corinthians 3 as we look at Paul's defense of his ministry, and the affirmation of New Covenant preaching. We'll spend some time contrasting the Old Covenant of law with the New Covenant of grace.
